John's Story
I was raised among the tobacco fields of Nash County and have spent my entire life in Eastern North Carolina. Coming from a long line of small business owners and entrepreneurs shaped the way I approach wealth management today — with a deep respect for hard work, disciplined decision‑making, and the long‑term stewardship of assets. That background guides how I help clients manage their wealth with clarity and purpose.
John's Passions
I divide my time between the Outer Banks and Greenville, North Carolina. When I am not working with clients, you’ll usually find me road course racing my classic Mazda, working on home projects, or spending time with friends and family.
The Founding of Seagate Advisors
I began my career working for large financial institutions and advising clients inside regional banks. Over time, as those banks grew and the names on the doors kept changing, I watched the focus shift away from clients and toward corporate priorities. I knew there was a better way to serve people who needed objective guidance and long‑term wealth management. That belief is what led me to create Seagate Advisors.
